This is another healthy poriyal that can be done in a jiffy(but sure the cleaning part takes time :) )

Keerai Poriyal Recipe
Ingredients:
  • Keerai - 1 small bunch (comes to 1 cup)
  • Onion - 1 chopped finely
  • Coconut(grated) - 2 tbsp
  • Salt- to taste
To Temper :
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Urad Dhal - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chillies - 1
  • Curry leaves - few

Method:
  1. Clean the greens and remove the root part and wash the leaves well.Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, urad dhal and curry leaves let it splutter. Then add green chillies, onion fry till slightly browned then add the greens with required salt. Keep in medium flame and keep stirring until the greens reduce in volume and sauted well.
  3. The green will let out water so be careful in sprinkling water. Keep closed and allow the greens to cook. Once the greens become dry then finally add coconut and switch. Give a quick stir and transfer to serving bowl.
